Schedule
Send the proposal no later than 15th of September 2023 as a Word or Pdf file to the email address: [email protected]. Notification of acceptance / rejection of the presentation will be received by the end of October. The presenter must notify immediately if he / she does not accept the invitation to present. More detailed instructions for holding the presentation will be provided in November to the selected presenters. Submit your proposal!
Presentation
The presentation is to be given in either English or in Finnish. The presentation slides must be delivered in the English language. If you wish you can also provide slides in English. Presentations are interpreted simultaneously Finnish-English-Finnish.
Fee or travel costs will not be paid for presenters.
Making a proposal, Presenting alone or with a partner
The presentation proposal should be a summary (max. 400 words) of your work.
Please explain in the proposal what the proposal contains and why the topic is important. Clearly record the message you want to convey to your audience. Please, add to the end some relevant keywords.
If there are two speakers, the proposal must reflect different perspectives on the topic to be presented. Name the presenter or presenters (max 2 people) with their contact information. Send your submission proposal in English (or in Finnish) to the email [email protected] no later than 15th of September 2023. Address the message with code CFP24 and the title of your presentation proposal (CFP24 “proposal name”). The duration of the lecture is about 15 minutes, which continues with a few minutes of questions. Total presentation time including questions is 20 minutes.
Participate the International Road Congress
The Road Congress is held at the fair and event center Paviljonki in Jyväskylä. The event will be attended by experts, authorities, equipment and system manufacturers, service developers, researchers, auditors, procurement decision makers, product developers, municipal technical and street experts, contractors, consultants and students. Participants of the Winter Road Congress are united by the need to succeed in street or road maintenance and traffic-related tasks in all kinds of conditions.
The Road Congress will feature an exhibition related to road/street maintenance, and international seminar Winter Road Congress.
